Thinking of replacing your
windows ?
Building Regulations now states that as from April 2002, anyone installing
replacement windows or doors must comply with the new regulations.
When the time comes to sell your property, solicitors will insist
on documented evidence substantiating any replacement glazing within
your property ensuring that they meet building regulations complience.
This can be done in two ways:
The first way is with a certificate showing that the work has been
carried out by a FENSA registered installer.
The second way is by obtaining a certificate from the local authority
stating that the installation has been approved in accordance with
the new Building Regulations.
Any installation commissioned by any firm not registered with FENSA
to self-certify, or a project untaken by a DIY enthusiastic homeowner,
will need building regulations approval under the terms of the new
building regulations.
The whole process can be made easier by using a FENSA registered installer.
